Why New Writers Give Up
When you're starting out, you should just write for fun. Experiment, find your voice, and fall in love with revising. That's it. I've found that many writers try too much too early. They plot a more complicated story than their skills can accommodate; they start the same project (or different projects) multiple times without sticking it through to the end. Which brings me to my three rules for new writers:
